School Participatory Budgeting

We are extremely excited that 14 of our schools will engage in a School Participatory Budgeting pilot this year. This has been something that has been in the works for the last couple of years.

School Participatory Budgeting empowers students to “learn democracy by doing” by deciding how funds are used to improve their school communities and prepares young people to be active, informed, and engaged participants in civic life for the long term. School communities go through a democratic process, led by students, to determine the outcome of a pool of funds.

We're excited to see this launch later this fall as part of the ongoing partnership between ASU and the Center for the Future of Arizona.
