  •  Message from the Roosevelt School District No.66 Superintendent Regarding Returning to School

    July 13, 2020

    Hello Roosevelt Community,

For months, our Roosevelt team has been eagerly planning and preparing for the launch of school on August 3, 2020.  We have continued to monitor the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in our state and local community and have made our decisions based on what we feel is best for the safety and well-being of our community.  As you know, Governor Ducey signed an executive order that delays the start of in-person learning until Aug. 17. We understand the importance of students being physically in the classroom with their teachers.  However, we must protect and prioritize the health and well-being of our students, their families, and our staff. Therefore, as a district, Roosevelt will provide all students remote learning only beginning August 3, 2020 until after fall break, which is October 5-9, 2020. This decision will help ensure the safety of our families, staff and community.

RSD COVID-19 Coronavirus Update

  • RSD No. 66 is Providing Educational Resources for Students and Families During School Closures

Parents have asked for work or activities for their students to do during this break. In our community, learning is a partnership and we want to provide you the necessary resources every step of the way and will be adding to this list periodically. Please note that any educational work that students do is optional, and you and your family can determine how much time to dedicate for your child's learning.

Student learning packets for the remained of the 2019-2020 school year will be distributed beginning Thursday, April 30, 2020. These packets will be available for all grade levels and have content for the remainder of the school year. The learning standards in the packets are the basis for the online lessons that students are completing on their iPads. All students need to keep learning and practicing from home. Don’t forget to visit your school or bus stop to pick up your student learning packets and meals for all children 18 years of age and under. Administrators will be distributing the packets at school sites during the breakfast and lunch meal distribution timeframe. The learning packets will also be distributed to students on the mobile meals bus routes. In addition, individual campuses will also make packets available during other times to accommodate families. Please note, students with special needs will receive 1:1 virtual or telephonic contact from their teachers to tailor the content to their needs. These packets are in addition to resources already listed on the learrning resources page.

The Clever Portal has online access  for Roosevelt students to several programs that students do not need to enter separate logins to access.
