Overview

  • Students are taught that high expectations are critical for success through the "3 Ps":  being Polite, Prepared and Punctual. In addition, all students participate in What I Need (WIN) reading intervention time for the first hour of the day, with students grouped to their current reading level and specific learning needs. Teachers work collectively to plan rigorous instruction that is tightly aligned with state academic standards, while continuously monitoring students’ growth to provide appropriate interventions when needed.

Students also attend special classes - including physical education, library, music/band, and technology - as part of their regular school day.

Academics aside, we offer an array of programs that help bolster students’ well-being outside of the classroom, including a Northern Arizona University Foster Grandparent Program and on-site health services such as The Tooth Doctor and The BreathMobile.

    School features include:

    • Interactive smart whiteboards in every classroom
    • A 2:1 student-to-laptop ratio in third to eighth grade
    • Laptop carts available for kindergarteners to second-graders
    • A new full-sized gymnasium with seating for nearly 500 people
