I am Mrs. Graciela Roggero. I have been in education for over 25 years and I have worked for Roosevelt School District since December 2005. In 2018 I came to Valley View School in August 2018, and fell in love with this school from the moment I stepped in. It has the most professional and nicest people one could ever wish to work with. My passion for teaching woke up when I was a little girl.  My first students were my neighbors, I used to put some chairs outside in the front yard a chalk board and there I had my classroom! I come from a family of educators; both my grandparents were my professors in High School and my mother was an Elementary School Principal.

I have two children and three grandchildren! On the weekends I take my grandchildren to the library, to the zoo and to different museums. I just love to spend time with them!

In my free time or vacation time I love to travel with my husband. We enjoy visiting National Parks. I also enjoy reading and painting.

Valley View is an excellent school with highly professionals teachers and administrators and an anchor to our community!

Kindergarten

Hello, I am a Kindergarten teacher at Valley View Leadership Academy and feel so blessed as this will be my 25th year in the profession. I received my Bachelors Degree in Bilingual Elementary Education and my Master’s Degree as a School Guidance Counselor from Grand Canyon University. Valley View Leadership Academy is the only place where I have taught since I began my teaching journey.

As a child, I attended schools in the Roosevelt School District and I am proud to say; I am a Roosevelt School District alumni. I feel that it is important to create a loving, caring and nurturing classroom environment so a love for learning can happen. I enjoy seeing students grow academically and socially. As their teacher, I teach students the importance of honesty, having a heart, and being scholars and leaders. I love the sound of kinder children laughing and hearing the funniest things they say and seeing the funniest things they do.

I have been married for 30+ years and have two wonderful adult children. In November of 2019, I was blessed with a BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING grandson; Oliver. My favorite past times are spending time with family, being around HAPPY, POSITIVE people. I enjoy coffee, Boba tea, teas, salads, almonds, cinnamon /vanilla aroma, candles and shopping.

I invite families out to experience the Valley View’s culture and look forward to meeting you.

I grew up in Chicago, IL and I'm still a Midwest girl at heart. I have two children of my own; Cameron, who is starting high school this year, and Hunter, who is going to be a Sophomore. I have lived, and taught, in Arizona now for 23 years and call Glendale my home. Even when I was younger, I knew I wanted to teach. I attended Eastern Illinois University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. After moving to the Phoenix area in 1999, I worked in many different educational positions from 1st grade to 4th grade, from middle school to choir director. I realized that my skills could best be utilized in a position to help those who needed just a little bit more and returned to college to receive a degree in Cross Categorical Special Education. After working in Special Education for 7 years, I returned to the general education classroom, teaching 5th grade. I am an avid supporter of the arts, and music is the soundtrack to my life. I am very creative and love to color and paint. This is my 9th year at Valley View Leadership Academy and I love being a part of this campus family. Valley View isn't like anywhere I've ever taught. The sense of community here is inspiring and the love felt throughout our campus is the reason I continue to return year after year. We set high expectations for our kids and, with 1:1 technology, we are able to bring so many new experiences to all of our students. I can't imagine teaching anywhere else.  I’m looking forward to teaching writing to our wonderful 7th and 8th graders this year!

Hello Eagles,

My name is Dr. Wes and I am the K - 5th grade Resource teacher. One of the best (and most rewarding) experiences in the world is watching the confidence of a kiddo grow due to the synergy of our teacher/student relationship. Being trusted with the responsibility to shape a student's mind towards giving their all with whatever they set out to accomplish is amazing and that is the main reason I get up and come to work.

I have been married for 20+ years and we have four children. Once a year, we like to visit Huntington Beach, California, of course, for the ocean, but mainly for the food. A few of my hobbies are coaching, reading, writing, fishing, and playing frisbee golf.

If you have read this far, well then God Bless You because you, my friend, are the real MVP. Remember to have a Great Day the Eagle Way!
